Soepboer & Stooker Winter Salon 2012

Images for the Winter Salon Amsterdam 2012. It was fun working on these images, it involved a true mix of digital and analog techniques. The images are shot by Ninette in digital raw however this raw was then output as a slide. This slide is projected onto canvas and this projection is then photographed again. By this time a lot of detail was lost and the image lacked finesse. I then took the raw and used this to overlay the image. Because the images where distorted due to the projection on canvas, this involved a great deal of warping and distorting to get the photos in register. The end result brought back some of the fine detail and color.
